Actors: bad luck omens before the play

It is bad luck to:

• Receive a bouquet at the stage door before the play begins.
• Have loops in a drop curtain
• Look at the audience from the wrong side of the drop curtain when it is down.
• Knit on or beside the stage.
• Quote the last word of a forthcoming play.
